"OzCrest has been at the forefront of opening up new exploration regions and has laid the foundation for new business models in historical polymetallic resources in the Chillagoe region"

OzCrest have acquired tenements with silver and polymetallic resources as well as base metals in North Queensland.  OzCrest wishes to develop their asset portfolio through their Muldiva Project located near Chillagoe in Queensland.

The Muldiva Base Metal and Precious Metal Tenements are located 23km south of Chillagoe and 7km west of Almaden, near the Almaden-Tate Road, and are about 4.5km south west of the turn off from the Burke Development Road.

The township of Chillagoe serves as a useful base for field operations, with accommodation, fuel and vehicle repair services. The Queensland electricity grid extends to the Project area.

The road from Almaden to Townsville is bitumen all the way apart for a few kilometres near Almaden. Several formed and graded station roads permit excellent access to the area of Chillagoe, in particular via the graded Bolwarra and Tate-Almaden Roads. Additional local 4-WD tracks and boundary fence tracks provide access to a reasonable proportion of the area. Light airstrips are located at Chillagoe and on local properties, affording light aircraft access from Cairns airport.

The area is favorably located to the Townsville smelter industry approximately 400km away and the deep-water port of Cairns approximately 180km away. There is an all-weather road supporting heavy transport vehicles to the mine sites with both power and water in close proximity.

A smelter was commissioned at Muldiva in about 1890 and produced a recorded 350,000 ounces of silver as well as producing quantities of copper and lead metal during the 2 year period when the smelter operated. The smelter was closed during 1893 due to the slump in world metal prices.

OzCrest has acquired tenements within the Muldiva Project area that have returned promising results. The project encompasses the Eclipse, Paisley, Lyee Moon/New Moon, Zingo and Vincent’s .and various other mineralized zones containing gold, silver, molybdenum and tungsten located within the tenements.

Previous major world class exploration companies have established gold and silver resources as well as base metals at several deposits in the Chillagoe area.
